Three names, one duty

DI / DE-I — mixed-resin bed after RO so product approaches 0 mg/L TDS / very low µS. Labs, small process, 400 GPD engineering skids (high-rejection 100 GPD membranes × 4 + mixed beds × 4), 600 GPD and 300 LPH packages already quoted to Tensor / Galadari class.

EDI — continuous electrodeionisation after RO. No acid/caustic regen on the EDI stack. Typical on boiler makeup and 2-pass industrial water (API-class story: ~310 mg/L feed, 2-pass + EDI, product 2–5 µS when specified).

DE-M — industrial demineralisation: cation exchanger, anion exchanger, mixed-bed polish, regenerant handling, conductivity interlock and product divert. 10,000–100,000 GPD.

Small skid (400 – 2,000 GPD)

Sediment + carbon housings, booster, RO housings, mixed-bed clear or FRP vessels, inlet/outlet gauges, optional conductivity. Supply-only to Abu Dhabi has been used; installation is a separate line when the site is not a workshop hand-over. 100% advance has been used on small DI.

Large train (10,000 – 100,000 GPD)

RO first to knock TDS down cheaply, then EDI or regenerable beds to finish. Never send raw 2,000+ mg/L water straight onto mixed bed — resin life collapses. Panel watches product µS and dumps off-spec water to drain or recycle.
