RO membranes: BWRO, SWRO, low-energy and fouling-resistant

RO membrane elements from Mai Fina: brackish water (BWRO), seawater (SWRO), low-energy and fouling-resistant spiral-wound elements in 4040 and 8040 sizes, with element replacement, cleaning and membrane autopsy for RO plants across the UAE.

Membrane types

  • BWRO elements for brackish well and surface water.
  • SWRO high-rejection elements for seawater desalination.
  • Low-energy elements for lower feed pressure on low-TDS feed.
  • Fouling-resistant elements for feeds with organics or biofouling risk.

Sizes

Standard 4040 (4 inch by 40 inch) elements for smaller skids and 8040 (8 inch by 40 inch) elements for industrial and desalination trains, compatible with standard pressure vessels.

Key features and benefits

  • Element selection from projection software using your water analysis.
  • Like-for-like replacement or upgrade of existing elements.
  • Element loading, shimming and interconnector and O-ring checks.
  • Performance normalisation after start-up.

Cleaning and membrane autopsy

CIP cleaning with low-pH and high-pH cleaners, and membrane autopsy of a sacrificed element to identify scale, fouling or chemical damage before replacing a full set.

Applications

Industrial and camp RO, seawater desalination, food and beverage, bottled water, dialysis pretreatment, boiler make-up and agriculture.

Design data we need

Current element model and count, vessel arrangement, water analysis, operating data (pressures, flows, conductivity) and cleaning history.
